Getting the Grade Right Before Anything Else Gets Built

Most construction problems don't start above ground. They start below it. When the grade isn't right, you end up with drainage issues, uneven pads, and headaches that follow a project all the way to the finish line. Getting the ground dialed in before anything else happens is one of the most important steps we take on every job.

This is exactly the kind of work we love doing. Using our Kubota track loader, we're moving and shaping material across a multi-pad site - building up grade, managing the soil, and making sure everything flows the way it needs to. Track machines like this are ideal for these conditions. They spread weight evenly, handle soft or sandy soil without tearing up the ground, and give the operator real control in tight spots along the site perimeter.

You can see the geotextile fabric already in place along the edges of the pads. That's not an afterthought - it's part of proper site prep. It keeps the base material stable, helps with drainage, and gives the finished pads long-term support. Every piece of this process works together.

When grading is done right, every trade that follows has a clean, predictable surface to work from. Concrete guys, framers, utility crews - they all benefit from a site that was set up correctly from day one. That's what we're focused on every time we fire up the equipment.
